DNA

A differentiating point that goes into Steam Lighting’s DNA is how we work and instrumentalize light. When the light is well-orchestrated, it directs and leads to the desired symphony. We cannot remember what we do not see and the art of artificially illuminating distances itself from natural light in the sense of less is more. To properly instrumentalize light is to get out of the simple idea of illuminating as a challenge to darkness. Not everything should always be seen and least of all in the same way. Light has the magic of making appear that which we did not perceive at the same time that I can make disappear that which previously took center stage.

We are a second generation where lighting is conceived from the uniqueness and harmony of each project. Where the concept of «TEAM» makes more sense than ever. Lighting is not just technology or innovation, it’s not just functionality, design or experience. Lighting is the symphony that we manage to correctly instrumentate all the variables.

We work as a team to create unique atmospheres of each project through lighting, either designing a custom luminaire, as customizing lighting standards with a specific and exclusive led, creating a concrete chromatic reproduction, mimicking the design of the luminaire itself with the finish required by the project. From Steam we opt for luminaires as they allow us to build and reproduce the desired lighting project, establishing hierarchies of perception and awakening new sensations and emotions. Each project is unique and contains its own score.
